A seminar titled "Addiction Control Fund" was held at the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Benha University, on Sunday, April 5, 2026.
Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Tamer Gamal Arafa, Acting Dean of the Faculty.
In attendance were Prof. Dr. Hany Zakaria, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development,
and the Addiction Control and Treatment Fund team.
The seminar aimed to raise student awareness about the dangers of drugs and drug abuse on public health, highlighting the harmful effects on health and the future. They also explained
the impact of synthetic drug use and its link to violence and crime, as well as mechanisms for early detection of drug use and how to treat addiction through the Addiction Control Fund's hotline "16023." Furthermore, participating volunteers received training on how to disseminate awareness messages to protect young people from falling into the clutches of addiction.
